FAQ

Baskets and other crochet items

A: Yes, I do! All my "made to order" baskets are really made to each order so it is you who decide which colour you prefer, depending on your favourite, occasion or just what mood you are in today. Please check the colour pallete on the product page, typically as the last photo.

"Ready to ship" products usually come in a single item or a very small batch, therefore the may not come in many colours.

A: The products are made to order so I normally don't have many of them around waiting to take photos of them. But before I send any baskets to my customers I usually take a photo or two and add them to the product page, or post them on the social media, so I may be able to find the colour you need on one of them. But please note, some colours are more popular than others, so that may not always be possible.

A: Keeping a stock of cotton cord for many colours and thickness is not easy. Sometimes one colour becomes very popular and it takes time to re-stock with my manufacturer. But as soon as I get it I make it available.

A: Usually, when I can get a colour re-stocked within a week or two, but this depends if my manufacturer have them in stock. On some cases it may take a bit longer than that.

A: If you like one of the photos of my products on my Instagram or on the product page, and would like to order an item in exactly the same colour, please contact me and I will check this for you.

A: All dimensions of my items are in the product description on the product page.

A: I offer a selection of different sizes on my products. Some products are available in a bigger or smaller size as an option on the product page. But if you are looking for something a bit bigger then there are also bigger baskets available. Please check my whole basket product collection.

A: If you have a special requirements for the size please contact me for a personalised quote.

A: Items marked as ready to ship have been already made and cannot be amended. However if you have a special requirements please contact me for a personalised quote.

A: If you are not sure whether a basket would be a good size for your purpose please contact me and I can try to take a photo using baskets which I have ready.

A: All sizes are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handmade nature and the features of the materials (recycled cotton cord); different colour cord thickness varies slightly so this results in the end product diameter variance.

A: All items (excluding craft materials such as cotton cords) are handmade and as such they may be subject to slight variations or imperfections on occasion which will not impair their functionality.

A: All my baskets/items are hand made to order which takes time so I prefer keeping the number of available items low. If you would like to order a slightly larger number please contact me and depending on my available time I will make more available in my store for you to place your order.

A: Yes, cotton cord which my baskets are made of is firm enough for baskets to hold its shape.

A: Please contact me directly to discuss your requirements.

A: I make the items out of braided recycled cotton cord of various thickness (3mm, 5mm and sometimes for large items 9mm). On some items I use twisted recycled cotton cord. Using recycled cotton is a more sustainable option as it reduces waste (brings another life to unwanted cotton pre-consumer left overs) and uses less amount of water during the manufacturing process (in traditional production new cotton requires over 10000 litres per kg of fabric).

Handles are made from cork, which is a natural, vegan, recyclable and biodegradable product, and a more sustainable option than using faux leather.

Cotton Cord

A: Usually, when I can get a colour re-stocked within a week or two, but this depends if my manufacturer have them in stock. On some cases it may take a bit longer than that.

A: I currently do not offer colour samples but I have this on my mind for the future.

A: Sometimes my manufacturer releases a batch of skeins with a tighter wound cord which makes skeins appear smaller. Also, the process of cotton regenration makes some cord colours lighter/heavier depending on the quality of the cotton used in the process.

However, rest assured that there is 100m length in each skein.

A: The cord I have in my offer is manufactured in the UK by a small family ran textile company.

I also offer Lovely Cottons cords. They are a small family run company manufacturing their cords in Poland.

Product Care

A: Knitted and crocheted product generally do not like being machine-washed, so please hand wash them gently with warm water, choose your detergents carefully and air dry.

Crochet Patterns

A: Yes, please check the DIY Kits section for all patterns I sell. These are pattern kits (printed pattern + all materials).
