Chunky Crochet Bootcamp
for Beginners
Learn to crochet in a slow-paced and relaxed atmosphere and make your own home décor items.
Six 2-hour sessions in a small group (max 12 people) on Fridays 26 Jan, 2/9/23 Feb, 1/8 Mar 2024 6.00 pm-8.00 pm (no sessions during February half-term).

Learn to crochet basic stitches and patterns. By the end of the course, you will be able to make a basket, spiral shell, and small ornaments like acorns.
- Basic crochet stitches explained e.g. magic ring, double crochet, treble crochet (working with 3mm braided cord)
- Making perfect round basket base, practising stockinette stitch, understanding crocheting basket principles (working with 5mm braided cord)
- Making your own basket (with 5mm cord)
- Spiral shell (with 3mm cord)
- Ornaments (flower, star, acorn etc)
Practising at home between sessions is highly recommended!
All materials provided: 200 metres of 5mm braided recycled cotton cord, 200 metres of 3mm braided recycled cotton cord – available to choose from various colours, 5mm and 7mm crochet hooks and a stitch marker.
The BootCamp is risk-free. If you're not happy after the first session, cancel and receive a refund for the remaining sessions (70% of the cost). Keep the materials from the first session. Check the full cancellation policy for details.

Ideal for beginners or for those who want to refresh their crochet skills. We will be using a thick cotton cord which requires a little more strength than working with ordinary soft yarn.
Please note: minimum age 14.
Coffee and tea are provided too (feel free to bring a bite).
